BabyBites AI is intended for adults aged 18 and older who are caring for babies, toddlers, or young children. Children do not create accounts, interact with the app directly, or provide information to us directly. Information about a child is entered by the adult account holder.

6. AI features and child-related information

BabyBites AI uses AI to generate meal plans, parse logs, summarize patterns, respond to coaching questions, and identify foods in photos. AI output is informational and may be incomplete or incorrect. It is not medical advice and should not replace professional care.

When possible, we minimize personal details sent to AI providers. However, depending on the feature you use, prompts may include child age, feeding stage, relevant meal history, allergies or avoided foods, notes you provide, chat messages, transcribed voice text, and photos you submit for recognition.

7. Photos and voice logs

If you use photo recognition, the app sends the image to our backend and to OpenAI for food identification. If you save a meal log with a photo, the image may be stored in Supabase Storage and associated with your account.

If you use voice logging, we process the transcribed text to create structured logs. Audio handling may depend on the device and app feature; we do not use voice input for advertising.

8. Data storage and security

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we become aware of a security incident that requires notice, we will notify affected users as required by law.

9. Data retention

We retain account and app data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify associated account data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.

Some deleted data may remain in backups or service provider logs for a limited period before being removed through ordinary retention cycles.

10. Your choices and rights

To make a privacy request, email privacy@elevatedapps.io. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

11. International users

BabyBites AI is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, by email, or by updating this page. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
